Beaux Esprits Playschool
Celebrating more than 30 years of learning

general information

Beaux Esprits is a French immersion, non-denominational, parent operated playschool. Our program is designed for children ages 3 – 5 and is offered mornings. We are committed to providing the best environment for learning we can. To this end we employ a full-time teacher and a full-time teacher’s assistant, avoiding the rotation of parent volunteer days in the classroom.
Though we don’t use parents as teacher assistants we do require their involvement in other ways to ensure smooth operation of the school.  For more information on expectations for parents see “Parental Requirements”.

Location: Room #007, 7925 158 street (inside Our Lady of Victories school)

Program Hours:

8:50 am to 11:20 am Mon/Wed/Fri mornings  or Tues/Thurs mornings
     =

School Term: September to the end of June

Holidays: Beaux Esprits observes the Catholic School Board holidays, teachers’ convention, and Our Lady of Victories' professional development days.

Eligibility:  A child is eligible to start in September if they will be 3 before December 31st and up to 5 years of age. All students must be independent at toileting.

Dress:  Comfort is key. To make their day more enjoyable children should come in comfortable play clothes. Each student is also required to have a pair of indoor shoes to be left at school. When nice weather comes to visit we like to give the children a chance to play outside so outdoor clothing appropriate for the weather is also a must.

Equipment:  To help make the day run smoothly each child requires the following items:
1.    Knapsack or bag
2.    A small daily nutritional snack
3.    Small plastic cup for drinking water
4.    One pair of indoor runners
5.    One complete change of clothes

The cup, runners and change of clothes will remain at school. All belongings should be clearly labeled with the child’s name.
